The service was impeccable. Everyone was welcoming and attentive to your needs, always striving to see what else they can do to make your experience better. The inn has a lot of history, which you can learn about with a tour, or simply take in small snippets along the halls and display cabinets as you explore the grounds.

This place has incredible historic charm, fantastic places to eat, and the staff is wonderful. The views are amazing. We absolutely loved it here. The rooms are big but pretty standard. The resort itself is what makes your stay special.

We stayed there during their gingerbread competition they host annually. We had an amazing time and the staff were absolutely incredible. Jarvis which assisted my family during our stay was 5 stars alone! Thank you and my boys will not forget their experiences. This might be a new tradition.

Fantastic hotel. Everybody was fantastic except Susan @ concierge desk. She responded to a question with a demeaning attitude to my wife. Fantastic food. The New Year Eve Celebration was exceptional. I want to come back off season.

Right up front let me say that if you’re going to go here, make reservations for the spa, golf and meals way ahead of time. If you don’t, you’ll be left without. That happened to us on our first trip there and we learned quickly If you wanna feel pampered, this is the place. It’s not your typical resort hotel and I think that’s one of its charms. You have the rustic feel and look of a mountain mansion, but with the amenities of a five star hotel. We’ve stayed in the Vanderbilt wing before, but this time stayed in the main hotel And I was pleasantly surprised. I absolutely love that they stayed with the original decor in the wood furniture. There’s a giant size tub that’s just aching to be used. Remember to bring some bath bombs with you.. I loved that the windows actually open and have Screens. We could hear the waterfall that leads to the spa and also feel the cool clean mountain air. I could tell that it’s been updated but still had the original feel of the hotel Be aware that this is one of those places that has fees tacked on to the room rate. Taxes, of course, but also resort fee per day and parking fee per day. And of course there’s a lot of hands-on service there so you’ll
